Why are there so many personal attacks against Brent Corrigan

What is the problem here why does everyone want to attack Brent Corrigan? What has he ever done to any of you?
There is just so much speculation going around about him that it has made me want to correct some of the misinformation that is being thrown about. So class lets begin. Your first lesson is the reason Brent left Cobra Video. I have read the depositions and he is very forthright about his reasons for leaving Bryan and Cobra Video.
And they have to do with sexual harassment and threats of personal harm as well as mental terror. It has been implied that Bryan was not aware of Brent’s under age status. This is false, Bryan was aware of this fact early on and it has been said the he conspired to perpetrate that lie. What was originally sent to Bryan was a fax copy of an altered Drivers License and birth certificate. This would not have been sufficient for the 2257 files that Bryan was supposed to maintain for his models. So Bryan needed to get ID for Brent which he did and that was the documentation that he had in his 2257 files. Just so you doubters of Brent’s true age know his birth certificate was never supposed to be made public and he is under no responsibility to do so. As a matter of fact that is the last thing Bryan wanted was for that ID to be made public. To me this was just a sad mess that Brent got involved in and he tried to get out of. Yes he did run from Bryan and “break a contract”. But here is another fact for you all. A porn contract is actually non binding. Because you can not legally sign a contract for sexual services. This was only for modeling. Also sex with someone underage and it does not matter if it is consensual or not is against the law. The same goes for filming sexual acts of minors. I do believe you or I would have done the same thing if we were Brent and in the same situation. Bryan was abusive and controlling and he not only wanted Brent to be a porn model for Cobra Video he also wanted Brent to be his sexual plaything as well. I believe it might have been different if he just wanted him to make porn videos but Bryan wanted to have sex with him as well and that is considered sexual harassment. Which I might add is also against the law. Bryan told his models who performed in his bareback videos that he was using a “fool proof” HIV test which was a lie. He subjected these young men to serious harm and or even death. The world of porn can be an ugly business and all involved have to make sacrifices. But there are sacrifices that we are not willing to make. When it came to Brent’s choices he was condemned for them. It is really a sad state of affairs that came about because of all this. What you have to realize is that Brent tried to put this to an end and reveal his id to the FEDs and put Bryan behind bars.
But the justice department did nothing about it. Many of you have been questioning why Bryan was not arrested and why? Well did it ever occur to you that Justice Department might not have cared? All Brent ever wanted was for Bryan to leave him alone and let him live his life. If you ever read anything that he wrote that was always the underlying message. The problem was that Bryan wanted Brent and considered Brent his personal property Bryan got a trademark on the stage name Brent Corrigan. He plastered degrading pictures on a web-site about Brent. He made harassing phone calls and he even stalked Brent. I’m sure you have heard about the incident at Micky’s when Brent was appearing there at Cocktails with the Stars and Bryan sent some goons to take a picture with Brent and the latest Brent Corrigan DVD box cover. And you all know that Bryan denied that he had anything to do with it. Well that’s not the truth. Bryan was there on that night and here is the picture to prove it.
You all really don’t get it do you? Bryan Kocis was a not a very nice person and he would do anything in his power to ruin Brent Corrigan. And it looks like he might be succeeding to do just that in death. I seriously doubt that Brent, Grant, Harlow or Joe had anything to do with the murder of Bryan Kocis. The fact that Bryan treated Brent the way did when he wanted him as his “Cobra Prince” is disturbing at best. You have got to realize that he must have treated other people much worse. Do you really think Brent was the first person Bryan did this to? Allot of you continually refer to the term Cobra killer. This term Cobrakiller referred to Cobra Studios. It was in reference to destroying the studio and putting it out of business and putting Bryan behind bars for the crimes he committed. You do realize that if Bryan had to register as a sex offender he would not be allowed to run a porn studio. It had nothing to do with wanting to have Bryan Kocis killed. By all accounts Bryan should have been required to register as a sex offender but the courts of Luzerne County somehow did not require him to do so. Bryan continued to operate his porn studio from the basement of his house in a residential neighborhood. You really need to do some research on Bryan Kocis before you condemn Brent.
LSG Media were the ones who initiated the settlement agreement and Grant Roy was instrumental in that process. Bryan was content to ruin them and he was not thrilled initially about the settlement. He wanted Brent and he thought if LSG Media was no more that Brent would come running back to him. Bryan was delusional at best if he thought that would ever happen. To Bryan, Brent was a cash cow and he wanted to control him and use him to make more money but he could not do that with Brent in another state. Bryan lied in Pennsylvania to the courts to get Brent back to Luzerne County. He tried all types of deceitful tactics to get Brent back. Why do you think Brent would not go back? Would you go back and be subjected to Bryan’s threats and abuse? That was not going to happen because Brent would drop that name before that happened. And he was prepared to do just that. Bryan was sent a mockup of the new web-site and this made him more amicable to the settlement. I can understand the fact that some of you don’t like Brent Corrigan and we don’t really need to here it a trillion times. But we really need to stop the character assignations now. You need to understand that this has been a hard period in his life. Does it really make you feel good to berate him constantly? I know it appears that I am being unsympathetic towards Bryan but the truth can be ugly.

Every murder case is like a puzzle. Everybody has his or her own solution. Aside from the actual facts which are questionable at best what really did happen in Dallas Township, PA on the 24th of January 2007. Do we really have a clue?
Here is what we have heard or read about this case. January 24th 2007 @ around 8:30pm EST a fire was reported @ 60 Midland Dr. Dallas Township PA. The fire department arrived 10 minutes after the fire was reported and extinguished it 10 minutes later. A body of a burned man was found on a sofa in the back of the living room. An autopsy was performed and it was determined that he did not die in the fire but that his throat was slashed and he had been stabbed 28 additional times and there were no apparent defensive wounds. He was later identified through dental records as Bryan Charles Kocis the homeowner. The police get 6 search warrants 3 are sealed and the other 3 are mysteriously leaked to the press. The ones leaked are the ones for the internet and phone records. The police release a picture of a young man and say that he might be a model who was to meet with the victim on the night he was killed. The police believe that this model goes by the name of “Drake”. And they believe he might be from the Allentown, PA area. This information comes from a business associate of the victim. There were 4 people on record who were in contact with the victim on the day he was murdered. And there was no mention of a model to any of them from what I have heard. for more information on the events before and after the murder click here. The fact that Harlow got mixed up in this mess is at best speculative by the police. If Harlow who is a porn model was going to work for Cobra Video you would think that he would have done a little research on the studio. He met Brent Corrigan and he would have with out a doubt asked him questions about Bryan and Cobra. As to why he would want to work for Cobra is beyond me. What really troubles me is the picture that the police have of Harlow. Which they say was used by “Drake” to set up an appointment.
This is a low-resolution picture and it really is not that clear. There is a model application on most porn web-sites that clearly states what is required to be a model for that particular site. Cobra Video has one. The police do not have any hard evidence against Harlow or anyone else for that matter or they would have made an arrested by now. The police have released limited information on the actual facts of this murder and are hiding what information they have in sealed affidavits under the guise that it is sensitive information. You must also be made aware that the police will release misleading information in many instances when they don’t have hard facts. So as it stands we are at square one and there has been no news on this case for over a month now. With all the speculation and name calling aside we really need to focus on the facts. And one of them is that there are no new ones to speak of.

The Latest Dish, From the rumor mill

Well with the rumors and innuendo being thrown about in the gay porn industry about HIV infected performers I thought I would bring this topic up for you to talk about. We have had some recent claims by a few people who have claimed that they became infected after encounters with Ashton Ryan. Ashton has denied these rumors and said he would submit to testing when Jason Curious volunteered to pay for it. But he never showed up for the test. We now know for a fact that Ashton Ryan is HIV positve and he has infected at least 3 other people, and he is still lying about his HIV status. He sent out a letter to all the men he had sex with telling them all about his status and to get tested. But he was on Jason's Ksex radio show and he denied he was HIV positive. And we have Tyler Mason who is
on record saying that Ashton is not positive. Did Ashton lie to Tyler or was Tyler lying for Ashton. Tyler is also reported to be the one who started the whole "Cleaner" rumor about Sean Lockhart and Grant Roy. Update: 07/15/2008 It has been reported to me that Tyler has been cleared of that accusation. My apologies to Tyler for any harm that rumor caused I guess their was bad blood between he and Sean. Why would Tyler accuse them of wanting to have someone killed? Tyler was said to have made that statement but we now know who started that rumor. CC why would you lie about your friend? Who are we to believe when it comes to such stories? Then we have the innuendo about Carter Longway or is it Jarrod Steele
who was recently released from his contract with Falcon and he is now working with the notorious Hot Desert Knights in their latest Dungeon Gang Bang. He has also performed bare back with Lycon films as well. Now I am not saying that he’s positive but with the type of work he is currently doing it would lead one to believe so. So where do I stand on the bareback issue? Well if the producers used reliable testing methods and the performers used condoms off the set I would have no issue with it. But there has to be a remarkable level of trust on all the parties involved and that is something that I just don’t see happening. So I would be against it for ethical reasons. I have watched bareback porn and I can understand the lure of it, that was all there was when I first started watching gay porn. I just find it hard to watch someone risk their health doing it now. The decision by a performer to do bareback porn is personal and I am not going to claim that they should not do it. We now have a better idea of how the virus is spread and we know allot more know than we did 25 years ago. I just hope the models are aware of the risks involved and take precautions in their personal lives. HIV is more treatable now but that still does not make it an acceptable risk in my book. I can tell you from what I have witnessed that its no picnic.
There have also been rumors about Falcon Studios who have been major players in the porn business for the better part of 30 years. It seems that they are in a bit of a crisis, performers and directors are leaving in droves. What is the meaning behind all of this. I have seen there last few releases and they have good stuff out there but allot of their recent stuff is pretty hit and miss. I think they are basing there business on the same old formula and the whole gay for pay thing is pretty much played out. Maybe they just need to regroup and find a new direction before the bird becomes extinct.

The Bryan Kocis murder investigation seems to be at a stand still and the future of Cobra Video is still up in the air. Through a comment on Brent corigan online we have found out that no other than Arron Phelps, a Cobra model and confidant to Bryan kocis is helping to run the studio with Bryan's sister. I guess Mr. Phelps is trying his best to get the company together. But I have not seen any new progress on the site. And last but not least the boys at Boybatter productions seem to be pushing their new venture Harlow Cuadra online. They have also been spouting off about a secret big new production. It seems they are keeping a bit of a lower profile as of late and not flooding the blogs with their propaganda. I guess they are busy with their New super secret huge production being filmed at a super secret mysterious location .
I hear it called Super Stud Twink Wonders of the New Millenium. Catchy title but allot to live up to don't you think.

Who is BB and why is he so angry?

I bet it’s a question allot of people are asking themselves. He rants he raves and he calls the other posters names. BB began steering discussion towards a hitman by talking about it on Sat Jan 27th. Everystep of the way BB has been trying to "shape" a story. Even before "Drake" was ever heard from. he has accussed anyone and evryone of being the killer including Dewayneinsd and Albert. He obviously hates Brent Corrigan and Grant Roy with a passion and he spits out venom like a snake. He has ranted about Grant Roy calling him all kinds of names and always trying to direct the thread towards him. He has called Brent all sorts of names and constantly accuses him of lying. He also seems to have an obsession with Harlow. And If I were any of them I would be on my toes at all times. He has gone after me from the very start, as all I have tried to do is get at the truth. Something he apparently wants hidden badly to the point of obsession. Does he serve a purpose on these threads? Well yes he does he is comic relief. He just doesn't know this. He adds no value to the discussion and he calls anyone who does not agree with him a Cobra Killer among other things. This leads few other posters on other threads and me to believe that he is hiding something. Something that could break this murder case wide open. Could it be a confession from him on his involvement in this case? Or is he just the main culprit. He seems to be at the breaking point again as his rants are just disturbing now. He seems to want to report everyone to the authorities yet the authorities really need to speak with him. He accuses others of hiding yet he is the one who is truly hiding, behind his false bravado and truly evil nature. BB come out, come out where ever you are. The police really want to talk to you.

I have done my best to keep this story alive on Jason's blog. Go back and read from day one of this mess.

My posts are actually carefully worded. At every opportunity yes I do scream GRANT COBRAKILLER ROY is behind the murder of Bryan. Yes, I also do this to those who make excuses and and buy into what Sean and his so called camp say. These people are amazing. Sean the self admitted liar shows nothing as actual proof to his REAL age and his REAL name. Sean could very easily clear this up, to date, he refuses to do so. He'll flash some document as proof PFFT. It is NOT proof people. Wake up.

Sean seems to have no problem showing two versions of id. Why does he have a problem providing a certified birth certificate? Lets not forget Sean and Grant CobraKiller Roy started this. They wanted everyone to buy into their claims WITH NO BACK UP, only lies, proven lies.

I have no problem with someone else's point of view really. When I ask for back up of claims made, I find I get attacked and the issues ignored - no big deal to me, I give as good as I get. I will continue to do so.

I had posted my thoughts and comments at juicygoo when Bryan and the CobraKiller were at war. The CobraKiller accused ME of being Bryan, he said some really nasty horrid things. I took it personally - my mistake, I should have ignored it. I know only too well how evil and nasty Grant Roy really is. I have verified legally many of his claims to be lies.

Grant Roy is a sick twisted pervert. I also believe Bryan was a pervert too. However, it is not for you or I to condemn anyone to death for this. That is a matter for the courts to decide.

I will not shut up until this crime is solved. That is and always has been my goal - to keep this story alive.

In an attempt to playcate BB I posted this comment from him. But it just goes to show what a sad attempt he has made to get real facts. The truth is he has none. BB's main claim is that Grant is the "Cobrakiller" this has been his mantra from the very beginning. What is funny to me is that he does not comprehend the difference between fact and or conjecture. He takes all that is said as meaning that it is what a person believes. I find it sad that he can not see past what is written and make a decisian based on what is presented. BB aligns himself with anyone who believes as he does. And when you disagree with BB he goes on the attack. He has no facts or evidence to back up any of his deluded rants. BB is the real puppet here and he has proven that at every turn in this case.

Well through out the last 3 and a half months we heard nothing from Harlow Cuadra. We would see him online on his my space page and we would get regular news from Mark @ Boybatter about his cummings and goings on all the blogs. Mark's incessant ramblings put allot of people off but I thought he was funny. He would hype Harlow to no end and I just had so much fun messing with him. Mark has a good sense of humor to say the least. Some of the things I said about him would piss an ordinary person off. He just would come back with more Harlow hype. But there was never a word from our favorite “Person of Interest”. Through the news stories he has remained a mystery and quite elusive. But the green-eyed mystery has finally spoken about the tragedy that has brought him to the forefront of public attention. and he says that the boys are back at their sprawling man pad and the repairs have begun since the pre-dawn raid that was mysteriously kept from us the inquiring minds. They have not only begun to repair their home but their Images as well. Harlow answers questions about the recent mishaps that have befallen him. He also talks about Brent Corrigan and how they met.
And he puts to rest all the rumors surrounding it. Harlow and Joe his partner appear to be taking this all in stride considering what they have been through. And they still have a sense of humor as you will see when you check out their blog. And it gives you a little insight in to who they are. And there are pictures too.
As you have all seen Harlow is a hottie and Joe is as well and he has stood behind his man the whole time. So check out Harlow’s blog It’s a good read and we hope to see more of what he has to say in the future. And is there really a twin named Marlow? Jason Curious has posted their blog on his sight and it appears to be drawing a crowd. They even have a link to my page so you know I like them. They have fast cars and hot men and a big house and good looks. We just have so much in common.

The Voice of Reason

I have tried to be impartial on my blog and not favor one side or the other but to tell you the truth I am on one side and that is the side of the truth. That has been my position from the very start of all this. I have not favored any one group and I don’t intend to start. I have posted questions and theories based on the limited facts in this case and who might be a suspect. But I have not taken sides. I have been accused of hating Bryan Kocis but that is not true I never said I liked him and I stand by my position on that to this day. He was not a nice man and he abused his power and he corrupted young men and boys. But I did not hate him. I read Julien’s post to day and I have the same feeling for Bryan Kocis as he does. The man was a troll and he lurked on the Internet Looking for young men and I find that sad. Do I think he deserved to die for it? Not at all quite to the contrary the fact that he was killed the way he was shows that someone was really in a rage and has some serious mental issues to deal with. Do I think that Bryan could make someone hate him enough to do this? The answer is yes. I have watched this civil case unfold for the last year and a half I have done allot of research on this case as well and spent many late nights in front of this computer typing up post for this blog and answering questions for posters. And reading all the civil suit documents and trying to get as much information as possible for my posts. But the minute that I do anything remotely nice for someone people start to say that I am biased. Why do you say that I’m Biased I ask? Is it because I believe Brent is 20 like he says he is? What is the big issue if I believe him? I checked it out and the fact is that the id is valid. And I also got other proof that I can not share here because it would get a friend in trouble.

You all have your free will just as I do, to believe what you want to believe. I am not saying that I’m an authority on Brent Corrigan I am just like the rest of you I received most of my information on him from his blog. And you need to realize this it is his blog and he is not required to tell you are show you anything he does not want to show you. Just like Harlow’s blog is his and Julien’s blog is his and Jason’s blog is his. This blog is mine and I do have the right to have my own opinions. Whether you agree with me or not that is totally acceptable. I do not moderate comments and I just ask that you refrain from using mean nasty comments against other posters or me for that matter.

Now as far as Harlow is concerned I don’t think he had anything to do with Bryan’s murder. Harlow would not work for another studio and he turned down Falcon. Bryan Kocis would not know what to do with Harlow. He has his own studio, web-site and business that pretty much would be enough to keep him busy. Plus he said he did not even know Bryan. I really see no reason for him to want Bryan dead. As far as working with Brent Corrigan that was a non-issue the agreement between LSG Media and Cobra was not exclusive so they could work together. As far as Brent’s side of how they met it is basically Harlow’s word against Brent’s. Someone fairly close to Bryan has to be involved in his murder because they set up this circumstantial case against Harlow.

As far as LSG Media goes what purpose would they have to kill Bryan. They initiated the settlement not Bryan. Bryan was content to take them to court and ruin them. All this mess was over a name and a birth certificate. A birth certificate that Bryan rejected when it was presented to him because it did not say what he wanted it to say. Bryan would not be happy with the out come of the trail even if he won because he would have gotten the same thing from Brent that he got from the settlement. A birth certificate that said he was 20 years old. He still could not re-release the first movies Brent did with those scenes in them. The movies would have to be edited. He was never 2257 compliant when it came to Brent Corrigan. Bryan would have been in serious trouble if Brent did not go along with the settlement. Brent been a true nasty little shit and dropped the name Brent Corrigan produced a birth certificate to the FED's and went on about his business but he didn’t or did he? Maybe he did not hate Bryan after all?And maybe this was all played out to take the heat off Bryan for the kiddy porn he had produced. Bryan went to allot of trouble to get a boy who did not want him. Why is that? We may never know.

Someone made a comment on Julien’s blog today about Bryan buying Brent a car and he insured the car for Brent. Now just so you know I was an Auto Insurance Underwriter. To get an auto insurance policy you have to provide a few things. 1: a valid drivers license 2: a copy of the vehicle registration. 3: address where the vehicle is garaged 4: the underwriter checks the DMV records to make sure all the information is correct. If it is not then we don’t issue the policy. So Bryan was not to bright after all, he purchased Brent Corrigan a car which I believe Brent still has and he got it insured for Brent and he put that bit of information in the court documents. How would he do that with fake ID? He couldn’t the policy would be rejected and the car not insured. Do you see where I am going with this? Bryan knew Brent was under age in 2005 when he purchased Brent the car for him, case closed.

Now we move to the unnamed associate. Who if you ask me should be suspect # 1 in this murder. They received the picture of Harlow and they confirmed the meeting and the said that Bryan sent the picture. Well what I find interesting is that Bryan was in contact with 3 people the day he was murdered and did not mention the fact he was meeting a model to any of them. We also get a new person who spoke to Bryan by way of J-bee who said that Bryan spoke to a business associate about an upcoming contract that was up for re-negotiation. So that would give us four (4) people who spoke to Bryan on the 24th of January. Not one of these 4 people knew about the scheduled meeting with a model the evening Bryan was killed. There is only one person who claims that Bryan was expecting a model that night.

We don’t know who killed Bryan and we can not even be sure why they killed him. But we do know you had to be in his house to do it. Not Virginia and not in California. All the supposed people of interest have alibis for their whereabouts on the night in question. It would appear that Bryan made someone hate him so much that they killed him in cold blood in his home while he sat on his sofa and torched the house. What drove someone to do such a thing? What did he do to someone to bring out this much anger and rage? The police have really made no progress in this case at all it has been at a stand still for at least 2 months. And they are hanging on to the search warrant affidavits for dear life. I wonder what they are hiding in those? It had better be good is all I’m saying cause I wanna know.

Barebacking and Other Gay Issues

I was just checking out the other Blogs today and came across this one on Jason Curious’s blog and it was getting a little heated. I was going to post a comment there but it turned in to this long dissertation so I thought that I would just make it a post on my Blog. The subject was about the sudden upswing in bareback porn and its effect on the industry and the young gay men of today.With companies Like Hot Desert Knights, Eurocreme, Cobra Video and Treasure Island Media to name a few producing this product and their sales climbing because of it, will this be the new trend in gay porn?. There are a few things I Have to say to start this off when I first started looking at Gay Porn it was all bareback. The whole Aids crisis had not yet begun. The boys were young and hot and the sex was wild and uninhibited. But that started to change in the early 80’s when a few models started to get sick. Then more were getting sick and dying and I’m talking fast. Some people got sick and were dead in a few months. No one knew what it was but it was bad whatever it was. The gay community went into a literal panic. People were scared to touch each other or even drink from the same glass. There was a period that if you did not see someone for a couple of weeks you assumed they were dead. I’m not being over dramatic here I am just stating the truth as to what I experienced. So I made a conscience decision to learn as much about what was going on as possible. During this period I watched hundreds of young men die from this dreaded disease. It was hard and it was tragic. One week in 1988 I went to 10 different memorial services. And one was for 4 guys who were all friends who died in the same week. So I think I have a really good idea of the affects and the effects of AIDS. I knew a few Gay porn stars Jon King, Lance Chisolm, Ron Pearson and Mike Henson and they are all gone now and the all died from aids or was HIV Positive when they died. And they all preformed in bareback Porn the common denominator here. And now we are watching all these companies who are shooting bareback porn again.

The big question you should ask is what precautions are they taking to protect their models? Are they taking any at all? Is the draw to perform in bareback porn the lure of the money? And now we are having a few of the current gay porn performers coming out and saying that they have contracted the virus. This is a serious problem and one that should not be taken lightly. I am not saying that these models contracted the virus on a movie set because they do have sex outside of the videos that they film but it is going to directly impact the porn industry again just like it did 20 years ago. This is a really good debate and it is something we all should rethink. I have been through the gay pandemic and came out the other end still negative. But during the late 80’s and the early 90’s I lost a great number of close friends and acquaintances to AIDS.
It was Hard at the time and It still is today as well. The recent amount of Bareback companies popping up has me a little worried to say the least. I mean Jason is correct when he says that the education system is lacking on the subject. He is also right when he says it is a personal choice. So the mission of the older generation of gay men is to help get the message across to the younger generation and to help them make an educated choice. There is one problem with that statement though and it is the previous generation: mine that took the biggest hit from AIDS and HIV and of the many hundreds of thousands of men and woman who have succumbed to the disease are not here to tell there stories.
That leaves a few of us to impart our knowledge of the effects of AIDS and HIV. I am all for personal choice and freedoms but you have to be educated on your choices. I will not say that I have never had unprotected sex because that would be a lie. But I am saying that when I did it was an educated choice. I read about how the virus is transmitted and I was there at the beginning of it.. I choose to not get fucked by just anyone but only by people who I had some faith and trust in and was in a relationship with. And if I did choose to have sex with someone who I was not to sure of a condom was used. There is still risk in having anal sex with a condom. The use of a condom is at best is only 65% safer than receptive anal sex without one. So you see there is still a 35% risk involved anyway. There is also a risk of contracting the virus through oral sex. It is much smaller but if you have any cuts in your mouth and you suck some one off there is a greater risk. The virus hides in body fluids semen, vaginal fluids, and the blood stream. It has been known to be present in saliva. If you are healthy the virus is harder to contract. But if you use drugs and or alcohol they lower you immune systems ability to fight off the virus and they lower your inhibitions to make a conscious decision about who with, how and where you have sex. They also affect whether you use appropriate protection. In truth the only way to remain sure that you will not contract the virus is to remain abstinent. But that is not a viable solution for most people. So you take the risk and go out and have sex anyway. Life is filled with a lot of choices and tough decisions and to use a condom is really not a hard one to make if you want to live a healthy long life. HIV is no longer the death sentence it once was but it is a life altering one nonetheless. I have some friends who have been positive for 20 plus years and are still healthy but they know that it could change at any moment. Some have had serious setbacks and were literally swirling around the drain so to speak and the meds kicked in. So you can make an educated choice to not use a condom but you must be well aware of the possible ramifications of your decision. This is where the education system has failed us. They just say unprotected sex = death, not that you can live with HIV. What they should show the young people of today is how it will affect them and what is required to try to stay healthy once you have contracted the virus. This subject is not cut and dry by any stretch of the imagination but it is something we must deal with in an informed manner. Sorry this was so long but it's a really important subject. As for the porn industry they should not be looked upon for their stand for or against bare backing because to them it is really all about your dollars. Bare backing in gay porn was the norm until a few studios took a stand against it and they did this because the models were all dying. As I mentioned before I knew quite a few of the models from the late 80’ early 90’s and most of them are dead now. It is really a sad commentary to see that we have come full circle with a new generation of young men who really have no older generation to look up to and to help guide them through the tough period called youth. I was one of the lucky ones to survive the pandemic and I will try to impart my knowledge on the next generation. I was also lucky enough to have the experience of learning the ropes on how to deal in the New World of being gay from the experienced men who came before me. And a New World it was, filled with the excitement of new encounters with new men and sex. The gay community was a community then and it still is but society has changed in such a way that we are now not confined to the gay ghettos. Gay people live their lives out and proud anywhere they want to now. There are still the risks of hate crimes but we are not isolated as we once were. This is where we have the big problem. We are not as centralized and we don’t have the programs that we once had because of the de-funding by the government of such projects. The current political atmosphere is fighting world terror and the rest of the country is under siege by the rightwing conservatives who are spouting phrases from the bible of our damnation and that AIDS is Gods will. We need to regroup as a community and start to provide more out reach programs for at risk gay youth. These kids are coming out much earlier and they are being raised by parents who may still love their gay child but are ill equipped to deal with the realities of the fact that there child is gay. I have many straight friends who have sons and daughters who are now at the age where they are becoming sexually active and the parents are freaked out. They want to believe that their children will be like they were and not have sex until they are much older say late teens early twenties but the facts are their kids are having sex as early as 12 in some cases and the parents are clueless. I have been available to these kids as a kind of a mentor, because most of their parents just can’t handle the facts that their baby’s grow up. The parents know what’s going on because the kids know if something serious comes up and they are scared to tell there parents they can tell me and we can all talk about it together with their parents. I have one friend who has a son who is 16 and we were in the garage working on putting in some shelving. I said to her "Did Costco have a sale Kleenex" and she said that her son has allergies and goes through a box a week. I looked at her and said, "since when does josh have allergies?" and her response was "since he turned 13". Needles to say I lost it and her response was "what’s so funny?" I looked at her and said "you really don’t have a clue do you?" and she was "about what?" I said "Josh doesn’t have allergies and it’s not his nose that’s running." She was like "well what is it then?" and I gave her a look of mock disgust and she finally got it. Then she said "eww I just cleaned his room and there were Kleenex everywhere". We had a good laugh and when Josh came home I told him about it and we both had a good laugh too. This is just an example of how naïve parents are about the sex lives of their children. So we really need to give the young gay community some guidance and help in navigating the waters of there new found sexuality. Brent Corrigan had a post on his Blog in the ask Brent section where he tells how he got involved in the whole bareback scene in porn and how he feels about it now. So I hope this does not sound to preachy but it is important to love yourself enough to care about yourself and make the right decisions to protect your health.
